Just a hop, skip and a jump to the golf cart parking where you had a quick walk to the beach. If you choose to drive to the public access, it was a quick drive. We usually stay on the beach and so were a bit nervous at this location being across the street, but having the golf cart (2-min drive to beach) made everything so easy! The beach is secluded as only golf carts can park at beach entrance. Bonus! The home itself was the cleanest, nicest home we have stayed in (and we stay in Oak Island a dozen times as it’s our favorite beach!) I’m picky so that is saying a lot. I know when reading reviews lots always say they will return, but we truly mean it. The decor and furniture were all perfect, not overly done and most certainly comfortable. The only issue we had was that the master bed was too soft for our 40-year-old backs. We quickly switched to the third bedroom and all was well. Kids enjoyed the ring toss game outside, board games, video games and bunk beds! If you are narrowing down your search, do not think any further. The beach itself was wide and open, not crowded, beautiful. The house is clean and functional and as described. Nicely decorated with a beach theme that isn’t over the top or cluttered but still feels beachy. Kitchen is very well stocked. Bathrooms are nice, beds are comfortable. The master bedroom has no window coverings, so we were woken early every day by the sun. Kids rooms have shades. We had an issue with the refrigerator ice/water maker. Posted on 7/21/2021 ### Nice modern house, easy beach access (5/5 stars) We had a wonderful week at the beach. The house comes with a golf cart which made getting to and from the beach quite easy. Two adults + two kids + beach gear was a tight squeeze but it worked seamlessly. The area under the house is open and clean and comfortable. Outdoor shower is new and clean and perfect for washing off after the beach. There’s also a separate hose for sandy feet. The beach itself was wide and open, not crowded, beautiful. The house is clean and functional and as described. Nicely decorated with a beach theme that isn’t over the top or cluttered but still feels beachy. Kitchen is very well stocked. Bathrooms are nice, beds are comfortable. The master bedroom has no window coverings, so we were woken early every day by the sun. Kids rooms have shades. We had an issue with the refrigerator ice/water maker. Turnkey addressed it immediately and was very easy to work with. If you’re looking for a new house near the beach and near restaurants, shops, Publix, this is a great option. (5/5 stars) We stayed at the end of September and were thrilled with the house. It was new to the rental market and very clean. Perfect for us with our dog. We don’t have kids but the space is ideal for a couple with 2 or 3 kids or 2 kids and a nanny. Two big covered porches plus a hangout space under the house. Bright kitchen, comfortable spaces and furniture. Master bed was too soft for our 40+ year old backs, but okay. Awesome private outdoor shower. Fully equipped for taking the golf cart to the beach (chairs, beach tent, games/toys, etc.). 3 minute golf cart ride to beach access where only carts (no cars) can park so relatively quiet and private. 5 minute drive to grocery etc., super convenient without being in the busy section of town. Short drive to Southport for more restaurants and shopping. We definitely would stay here again. Turnkey is frustrating to deal with when booking but was very responsive when we needed help with access to WiFi. Everything was spotless when we checked in. We appreciated the high-quality towels and bedding. A great golf cart for taking us and our tons of stuff down to the beach. I initially had issues with internet, but these were easily resolved with a quick phone call. We would definitely stay here again! - William L. The golf cart was a huge perk and made the distance from the beach completely bearable. Two words of caution: the “grill” is more like a George foreman so not exactly the grilling experience one would hope for, and the master bed is not the most comfortable.
