This season we noticed that several improvements were made to the structure. In addition, it is under new management. The reason I mention that, is that you now will be dealing with people who are bending over backwards to guarantee you have a great time on their properties. I have all ready booked again for next year, and had the pleasure of dealing with Patti. She made me feel like a treasured friend and made all the planning simple. Add the great treatment with perfect location on the beach, and we couldn’t be happier. The cottage is an older one, but the new management is doing a better job of keeping it fresh. I am happy to recommend this cottage and the people like Patti that you will deal with. There was a lot of open space for the kids to play in the center of the living area. The rooms only have mini-blinds so they are very bright as soon as the sun comes up which would be a challenge to anyone who likes to sleep late. The location was perfect with no crowds compared to other sections of the beach as we looked around. The beach has eroded in a way that created a 3 ft drop between the house and the water which would pose a problem for anyone with mobility issues who wanted to get to the water. There was still plenty of space for chairs on the either side of the drop off, even at high tide. Be aware that the owners of the house next door have dogs that bark at people using the public beach access throughout the day. Definitely older with a rustic beach cottage feel. Bathrooms are a little small but common area and deck are spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. Location was perfect. The only suggestion would be box fans or pedestal fans for the bedrooms. Previous reviews mentioned bugs but that seems to be resolved - we saw none at all. - Faith B. The washer/dryer & hot water heater all appeared to be relatively new. The home was clean & very spacious. 2 of the 4 bedrooms have their own private doorways to the deck. We had a great time in a great house. Look forward to staying there again in the future.
