There were a few items that needed attended to regarding the house, and Vacasa was prompt in reply and maintenance. The house is beautiful and the beach was great! Having a pool was awesome too. We brought our 2 adult children, their spouses and 2 grandchildren (ages 2 and 8 months) and there was plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. The house was very clean with great amenities. We paid extra in advance for the heated pool but it was not heated upon our arrival. They came the next day and it heated up and was perfect the rest of the time. There is a well-stocked kitchen with high-end appliances. The large kitchen table was great for us to enjoy family meals together. We brought our own high chair for the infant and booster chair for the toddler. The kitchen chairs are all stools which won’t accommodate a booster chair but there was a chair in the downstairs bedroom that a booster chair would strap to so it worked out fine. The covered porches are great with lots of rocking chairs to enjoy the ocean view. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds so all adults were able to have a great night sleep. Having private bathrooms for the bedrooms was also very nice. We needed to bring our own pack and plays for beds for the 2 little ones but that wasn’t a problem. The beach being right there was awesome. We loved the quiet beach without lots of people, likely because there aren’t any large hotels or condos nearby! (5/5 stars) Stayed for 5 nights at the end of March 2023. Home looked to be renovated recently and was very well maintained. The cleanliness was outstanding when we checked in and was well stocked with plates, glasses, cookware, soaps, detergent, etc. The heated pool (separate charge) was well worth it given the timing of our visit. Would absolutely book Thomas Cottage again. One point of constructive criticism, the textured concrete pool surround seemed to be chipping slightly and was full of loose stones that needed sandals to walk on at all times. Suggest a thorough sweeping (we didn’t see a push broom at the house) and checking to ensure the chipping won’t get worse. - Ryan C.
