We were able to walk to a couple of restaurants that were nearby, The BBQ House and The Break (for breakfast). Great neighborhood for walking. The room was as described and very clean. The location is ideal—within walking distance to several restaurants and just a short drive to two nearby grocery stores. It’s also walkable to the beach, as long as you’re not carrying too much gear like coolers or umbrellas. The space was perfect for a couple looking for a quiet getaway. The bed was comfortable, and the room included a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and both indoor and outdoor seating—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. A couple of things to note: we were only provided with one trash bag and one coffee pod for our entire stay, so you may want to bring a few extras. We also experienced some communication issues. The listing stated that no parking was available, but the description mentioned parking on the right side of the driveway. When we reached out via text, we were told there was no parking, which was a bit confusing. We also inquired about the EV charger, but didn't get a clear answer and weren’t sure it would have reached across the driveway anyway. I didn’t want a hotel option, and a house would be too big. This was perfect for my husband and me. They offer a toaster and a microwave. But there’s also an electric skillet to make eggs in the morning. There are a ton of great restaurants nearby so we really didn’t need to do any cooking. It is only half a mile to walk to the beach in less than that to walk to the nature center where you can see gorgeous sunsets. - J S. Great location, close to everything and Oak Island is a very cool town!!! The rental is perfect for a couple, very cozy. The bed is very comfortable (on the form side).
