Located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the beach, Salty Escape puts you close to everything that makes Oak Island special, including beautiful sandy shores, local restaurants, shopping, parks, and seasonal entertainment.

Step inside and feel right at home in the bright, spacious, open-concept living area. Thoughtfully designed with modern finishes, stylish furnishings, and plenty of natural light, Salty Escape provides a welcoming atmosphere where you can relax and unwind after a day of coastal adventures.
The fully equipped kitchen features beautiful gray cabinetry, Curava countertops, stainless steel Samsung appliances, and everything you need to prepare your favorite meals. Gather around for family dinners, enjoy a movie night with Netflix, or challenge your crew to one of the provided board games.
All three bedrooms feature comfortable queen beds, providing a peaceful place to recharge for another exciting day at the beach. With two full bathrooms, central air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and linens and towels provided, you'll have all the comforts of home throughout your stay.

Explore Oak Island by Golf Cart!
Want to explore the island in true coastal style? A golf cart is available to rent for an additional fee!
Daily rental: $50
Weekly rental: $300
The golf cart is registered for Oak Island resident beach parking, making your trips to the shore even more convenient.
Golf cart rental is optional and is not included in the standard reservation rate.
Exciting Addition Coming in 2027 – A Brand-New Private Pool!
Salty Escape is getting even better! A beautiful new private swimming pool is planned for completion by May 2027, giving future guests another fantastic way to relax, cool off, and enjoy their Oak Island vacation!
IMPORTANT SPRING 2027 CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:
Please note that construction of the new private swimming pool will take place during Spring 2027, with completion anticipated by May 2027. During this period, guests may experience construction-related noise, activity, and temporary disruptions to portions of the outdoor space.
Discounted rental rates will be offered for stays during the spring construction period to account for any potential inconvenience. The swimming pool will not be available for guest use until construction is complete and the pool is officially opened.
We appreciate your understanding as we make this exciting improvement to Salty Escape!

Absolutely perfect. Beautiful house, everything we needed, modern and up to date. Would absolutely stay again!!! The ONLY thing was the first issue with renting the golf car. It was available per the ad for $300 for the week. When I requested the rental I was told $450. So I called, spoke to someone, finally got that cleared up. Next issue, I asked if golf cart was ok to park at the beach access, or If it was “registered” with the OKI town properly. I was told NO. I would need to pay to get a parking pass for every day, but you were not sure how to do that. Once again I called, and a VERY nice helpful lady had to dig through info to finally see somewhere that this golf cart had indeed been registered with OKI and could be parked legally! All of this to say, the info about the golf cart needs to be readily available somehow. A sign in the garage? 🤷‍♀️. But overall.,.,a100% positive review!

Enjoyed everything about this house. Location, layout and cleanliness. Enjoyed the amenities including bikes, beach umbrellas, beach cart and optional golf cart. Enjoyed the back porch and fenced in yard. Easy walk beach, grocery stores, restaurants and bars and park with concerts, market, splash pad, pickleball/ basketball courts and skateboard park. We are looking forward to our return!

Love the area, home is very nice. The only drawback for me was the kitchen cabinet layout - cabinets over the island are not very easily accessible, especially if you are vertically challenged.

We had a wonderful stay at Salty Escape! The location was perfect for daily walks to the beach and park. The house was clean, well supplied, and decorated beautifully. We especially loved the fenced in back porch where we took advantage of yard games and grilling out. We rented the golf cart for our stay which made tooling around the island a breeze. We can't wait to return.

Enjoyed a beach trip for Thanksgiving and Salty Escape was in an excellent location on the island. Enjoyed quick trips to the beach by either walking or taking the golf cart. Easy access to grocery stores and shops. House had a decent kitchen stocked with everything needed as we prepared a Thanksgiving meal. House worked well for 3 generations - grandparents took the primary room with a walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 and 3 were more private and good for parents/kids with a bathroom in their 'wing'. Golf cart rental was great to have, and the garage storage space made everything easy and accessible. Enjoyed the back porch for the warmer weather days. Great trip to Oak Island!

We had a great stay at Salty Escape! The house was spacious and looked just like the pictures (new and clean). The location was great and we could walk with our three kids to the playground and splash pad as well as the beach. (Stores and restaurants also within walking distance). The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils and dishes so it was easy to cook meals at home and it was nice not to have to do the dishes after each meal (we were 5 people). We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again if on Oak Island.

The listing is deceptive in the presentation of the amenities. The golf cart is an additional cost, and we weee not notified of this until our arrival. It would have been nice know about the additional cost upon booking or before our arrival. Other than that, the home was beautiful and one of the best rentals we’ve had through Vacasa.

Fantastic property on a quiet street in a really good area. We had trouble with the thermostat the first night, but the rental agency was very helpful and support was great. Would absolutely stay here again-our teens, my husband, and myself absolutely loved the place! Yard and back porch are fantastic!!! Games, wagon, and bikes in garage are such enjoyable, fantastic touches!!
